This list is not comprehensive, but rather intended to aid in information attainment. A website being listed here does not imply endorsement by the Focus Forward Oklahoma program or partners. Viewers should review resources and contact the organizations directly with questions or comments.
Advocates For Youth
The Advocates for Youth website offers information on topics such as adolescent sexual health, sex education, parent-child communication, confidentiality in health care, and contraceptive information/access for both health professionals and parents.
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
The American Academy of Pediatrics website offers professional resources such as research and publications, clinical support, webinars, and information about contraception and adolescent sexual health.
AMERICAN COLLEGE OF OBSTETRICIANS AND GYNECOLOGISTS (ACOG)
The ACOG website features information on the ACOG Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) Program. In addition, there are clinical, patient and practice resources along with education/training information related to best practices for contraception and unintended pregnancy.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The CDC website features data, statistics, and resources related to reproductive health, unintended pregnancy, teen pregnancy, national/state birth rates, and contraception, and LARC.
Child Trends
The Child Trends website features data and research on teen pregnancy and reproductive health, poverty and inequality, and youth development.
Guttmacher Institute
The Guttmacher Institute website provides research and policy statements on sexual and reproductive health topics. They also provide national and state (Oklahoma) level information on contraception and pregnancy including teen pregnancy.
Healthy Teen Network
The Healthy Teen Network website features information on sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy and parenting, and training available to health professionals.
March of Dimes
The March of Dimes national website has information on prenatal care, healthy birth spacing, contraception, prematurity, and infant health. They also have resources specifically for Oklahoma.
National Conference of State Legislatures
The National Conference of State Legislatures website features multiple research documents on unplanned pregnancy, teen pregnancy prevention, and policymaking.
National Institutes of Health
The National Institutes of Health website has resources related to contraception, pregnancy, teen pregnancy, and substance abuse during pregnancy, Additional information on maternal and child health can be found at the Eunice Kennedy National Institute of Child Health and Human Development including resources related to contraception and women’s health.
Office of Adolescent Health (Department of Health & Human Services)
The Office of Adolescent Health website features teen pregnancy statistics, information on teen pregnancy prevention programs, adolescent health information, and resources/training tools.
Office on Women’s Health (Department of Health & Human Services)
The Office on Women’s Health website features information on contraception, pregnancy, and how to find a family planning clinic.
Power to Decide
The Power to Decide website has national and state data (including Oklahoma data) and resources related to preventing unplanned pregnancies. This organization also has two additional websites that are focused on contraception: Bedsider and Stay Teen.

The Youth.gov website features information on positive youth development, teen pregnancy prevention, and resources for expectant and parenting young families.
National and International Journals
There are a number of national and international journals that publish information related to women’s health, family planning, contraception, unintended pregnancy, teen pregnancy, and LARC.
The following journals may have useful information related to the topics of interest. The Focus Forward Oklahoma Program also has a large database of peer-reviewed literature on these topics.
